      Jesse Silvertown is the Principal at The Ledge Company, the practice he founded after 15 years in various senior finance roles. Most recently, he was the first CFO at BetterBrand, a Series-A company backed by Venture Capital firms including 776 and Verso Capital. 

Prior, Jesse spent 13 years at Ernst & Young, advising domestic and international entities and individuals in Sports, Media, Entertainment, Tech, Consumer Products and Financial Services on significant and sensitive financial matters, including M&A diligence, fraud investigations, accounting misstatements, transaction disputes, regulatory compliance, process improvements and audit concerns. Jesse founded the Sports sector and chaired the Media, Entertainment, Private Equity and Tech sectors for his practice. 

In his career, Jesse has advised buy/invest-side on 75+ deals (totaling $10b+), and is recognized as a leading forensic accountant in M&A. He has written for, or had his work quoted in, Sports Business Journal, Forbes, Washington Post, Law 360, Sports Illustrated, Bloomberg and many more outlets. 

Jesse currently lives in New York City, but is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States. He is a proud graduate with distinction from Ivey, the top-ranked Canadian business school, and has obtained his CA, CPA and CFF designations.
